Blame, your fault . . .

When we fell over in the 50s and 60s, when we banged into walls, fences or lampposts, when we tripped over kerbs or paving stones, we blamed ourselves. When the branch from which we were swinging broke and we got big lumps on our heads, we blamed ourselves. We did not first look for others to blame, we usually accepted that it was our fault caused by our inattention or stupidity. We took responsibility for our actions. Do the children and people of today do the same?

But if there's nobody to blame then how can you claim compensation?!
