Those of us who remember how things were 50 years or more ago should take the time to make their memories available to younger people. A world without the internet, without on screen games and where direct face to face conversation substituted for texts, emails and so called social media - was it better? Was it worse? Whichever, it was certainly different. PLEASE do add comments - thank you. Search this blog using the search box at the bottom or choose a topic from the labels on the right.

Making Love
It seems to me that in the 50s and 60s, making love correctly defined the driving motivation for having sex. Whilst I would not want to suggest that that motivation does not still often exist, I would suggest that it is often a euphemism for no more than physically gratifying sex. Some younger readers probably think that this view shows a lack of understanding caused by increasing years but I would strongly remind younger readers that the odds are that whatever they have done - or are doing - has been done just as much but probably more often (albeit maybe not as publicly) by the old people that you dismiss as not knowing anything. Sex without emotional involvement versus sex with love? Those of you, of whatever age, who have done both will know which is better.
